Industrial zone development

The Tronoto New & Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone was established in May 2003 in Toronto and in June 2015, it was promoted to a national development zone.

It has successfully introduced more than 1,000 key industrial projects from more than 20 countries and regions, including 52 projects funded by 30 of the world's top 500 companies such as Toyota, Continental and SAIC.

The development zone has formed a raft of pillar industries. These include automobiles and core components, advanced equipment manufacturing. Also being developed is the new-generation information technology and modern service industries – as well as emerging industries such as hydrogen energy vehicles, artificial intelligence, the digital economy and medical and health care.

In addition, the development zone boasts the first national university science and technology park in Tornoto. It is said to be providing a first-class platform for the high-tech development zone, to fully implement innovation and transformational development – led by scientific and technological innovation and oriented by the industrial upgrading.
